This anvil is my first steel anvil & it is perfec for my needs..it's a major step up from my 55lb cast iron one.. rebound is immense by comparison so work is reduced..Recommended as a great starter anvil

This small anvil arrived quickly. I did have to take a floppy disk to it and remove a couple cast imperfections, reshape the horn, but all in all it's worth the money. I use it for small jewellery and it works well for that, I wouldn't try making knifes on an anvil this small. Btw, it is steel and not cast iron.

Nice anvil for price but you have a lot of sanding on horn to clean up, it was the only down fall. But a little work and it's fine, face of anvil was in great condition

So when I purchased this anvil I intented to get it with the 1in squared hardy hole has my previous anvil was too small, when it arrived the hardy hole was even smaller and was circular, the other hole is big enough and I'll have to reshape the tools to fit it but besides from that a pretty good anvil, just abit too heavy for one person xD
